tErIMa k@SiH LuYI~~ =D

So, on the 23rd of August 2007, Lu Yi treated her housemates and I dinner to compensate for abandoning us by getting exempted from PP3 Degree Exam. Who asked her to be the one saying "exempted liao must belanja ya!!" out loud during Hee Sheong's birthday celebration neh? Kekeke.. XD Eh, don't u dare to say that we bullied her lo!! Choosing between "getting exempted and belanja" or "not being exempted but having free foods to eat", the choice is obvious lor isn't it?!! DUH!!~~ PP3 is damn freaking hard to pass le!! XP

So, 5 of us headed to Ah Fhern's so-called "Whatever-Hang-Out Place", i.e. Campus East, which is just 5 minutes walk away from our hostel, armed with 4 booklets of vouchers, with Lu Yi "gi gi gut gut" shouting, "Eh, really want Campus East meh? So many vouchers.. If I dun get to pay for anything tonight, I will feel very bu shuang de leh..." Ah cheh, and she thought we were going to let her off so easily??? Ngek ngek ngek... By the way, these 4 housemates naik miang and decided to dress up nicely for the night.. Told me the theme of the night was , i.e. showing as much flesh as possible somemore.. Tsk tsk tsk... So all of them were in skirts that night, while I had to wear singlet with short pants as a consequence of not bringing any skirt over to UK.. XD

Voucher is simply the best invention on Earth, man!! By making full use of it, Lu Yi only had to fork out 12++ pounds for the drinks and foods which were enough send us bloating all night long.. The foods consisted of 2 super big pizzas, 1 plate of Rocky Mountain Chicken (chicken breast with bacon and cheese topping), and 1 Spicy Chicken Tortillas.. Yum Yum.. Not bad!! Quite tasty in fact!! Keke... Wern had a hard time though, because all dishes also contained her "favourite" food, i.e. cheese!! Haha.. What a waste.. It was H-E-A-V-E-N to us on the other hand le. The more cheesy the merrier!!! Mua hahaha.. Well, in case u wonder why we didn't take any photo of the foods, our stomachs were growling like crazy by the time the foods arrived. Kakaka.. =P

After the sumptuous meal, we were simply too lazy to move so we continued chit-chatting. I guess it must be due to Yi Jie's super seductive plunging neckline that an Asian-looking stranger took the opportunity to approach us when Qristine's camera fell onto the floor as she shifted in her seat. Qristine and Yi Jie were the only two he could see from his angle and according to Qristine later on, he had been staring at us for quite some time already.. Hmm.. But I think he seriously needs to brush up his pick-up lines..

"Hey, what happened? I heard a huge crack from my place. Was it your chair? Haiyo.. Too fat already la.. Time to go on diet lo.." (-_-") *all of us went speechless immediately*

Then, leaving Qristine out, he started guessing our age, saying that me, Lu Yi and Khang Wern looked like 小妹妹 (little gal) but Yi Jie looked like a research student. Lu Yi felt so "Ouch!" when he said she was only of the age of a Primary 6 student. Then he brought his beer over, sitting down next to me without even asking for permission, and started talking about Taiwan political stuffs with his eyes fixed on Yi Jie.. Apparently, he thought we were from Taiwan.. We could only give him a nervous laugh and throw him the you-are-not-welcome-here look. He didnt seem to get the signal, though.. His pi li pa la of "国民党... 民进党... 共产党..." whatsoever stuffs went on.. He assured us that he meant no harm and introduced himself as a Neurologist working on acute stroke in the Royal Infirmary and then showed us his name card as an evidence, but none of us took his words for real.

When he finally realized that we weren't, by any chance, interested in whatever he was talking about, he decided that he should switch to talk about the current pop idols and touched my upper arm as he did so!! Lucky him.. for he was in time to take his hand off before I gave him a Taekwondo back elbow shot on the stomach. Celaka betul... At this point, Qristine saved the world by voicing out to him that we were "in a rush of time" and so had to leave immediately. He seemed reluctant to let us go at first, for he didnt even move his butt a single inch following that. However, he had no choice but to give way when all of us stood up and started moving outwards. Once we were out of the bar, we walked all the way back to JBC at full speed while at the same time kept looking backwards, making sure that he wasn't tailing us behind..

And when we were finally back to the familiar surrounding of JBC once more, aaahh... who cares about some psycho neurologist freak from Hong Kong anymore? It's camwhore session!! Lalala~~ =P

Huhuhu.. Come come.. let jie jie touch touch... XD

Set up!!! It's me looking the fattest again!! Grr...

Look at Yi Jie's plunging neckline!! WoOHOo~~ No wonder le... XD
Last but not least,
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE TREAT, LU YI!!!!! *even though we were the one who threatened u to belanja in the first place*
CONGRATULATIONS FOR NOT HAVING TO SEE AUNTY ANNE ANYMORE!!!!!
MUACKS!!!~~ ^^

PP3 Video Exam

Below is a reproduction of my PP3 video exam.

Tracy: Erm.. U can use all the reference books available on the table, alright?
Me: (in an attempt to calm my nerves) U mean all of them? Everything on the table? *DUH!*
Tracy: Yup..
Me: (heart beats slowed down, but still having palpitation) So, I have to finish everything within 3 minutes, right?
Tracy: Erm.. Ya.. About that I guess... (What kind of stupid question are u asking? Just get this over asap...) OK.. so let's start now..
Me: Alright. Hi, I am the pharmacist in-charged today. May I help u? (squeezed out my sweetest-possible-sunshine-gal's smile)
Tracy: (not very convinced) Ya, I hope so.. My husband said he has got a "flu" but I supposed it's just a normal cold.. and I wonder if you can give him anything maybe?
Me: (%*$#@! why must it be Respiratiory? least well-prepared de.. ) Oh.. I see I see.. *trying to act confident* So, is ur husband's body temperature altering (I wanted to say alternating actually, F***) between high and normal?
Tracy: Erm.. not really.. his body temperature is fine...
Me: Ok.. then is he aching all over? Can he still move around?
Tracy: Ya ya.. he's pretty ok.. it's just a cold I think..
Me: Alright.. (not bad! ruled out flu liao.. so I shall proceed with the WWHAM questions) Can u tell me if he has any other symptoms?
Tracy: Yeah, well.. blocked nose... cough, sore throat.. Yeah...
Me: Ok.. How long has he been having these?
Tracy: Erm.. not for very long time.. about 2 days I guess..
Me: I see.. So, what action have u taken so far?
Tracy: Erm.. he has been taking this hot lime tea, you see... Yeah...

Me: (What the hell is that???) Ooh, I see... I see (nothing)... Does it help?
Tracy: Yeah, well, when he's on it, he's ok.. But I dun really think it helps much though..
Me: Ok.. So, is he on any medication?
Tracy: Oh yeah.. He's on Phytio*##&$**@ for his Migraine..

BA BOOM!!! WTH IS THAT????? (Heart racing like crazy...) never heard of it before geh? Migraine not take paracetamol one meh? or Prochlorperazine or Immigran or Migralief? SHIT... Should I ask her what does it contain actually? DUH!! As if she's going to answer me? Who's IS the pharmacist now? Ok ok.. calm down, Chua Pei Ling.. Maybe you should try to look into BNF? Nah.. I dun even know how to spell the brand.. How am I going to refer? Shit shit shit shit shit... Ask her to spell it out for me? That's going to make me look even more stupiak lo.. ARGH... oh well.. guess I will just have to act along.. pretend as if I know the drug...

Me: Oh.. Phytio*##&$**@ for migraine... [sorry, the name of that medicine slipped out of my mind right after that.. ] Then, does he have any other medical condition?
Tracy: No no..
Me: May I know how old is he, pls?
Tracy: 29
Me: Ok.. Has he had this before? *DUH!!!!! Who the hell in this world has never caught a cold before???!!*
Tracy: Erm.. well.. He just got it lately.. But he has had cold for a few times before.. Yeah...
Me: Ok.. So, what exactly do u want me to give him? Is it for his blocked nose, or pain maybe?
Tracy: Yeah.. Erm.. Actually the things that bother him the most are his sore throat.. yeah.. and maybe u could give him something for his blocked nose as well?
Me: Oh.. ok.. sure.. For his sore throat, I will give him Dequadin. It's a lozenge that contains Dequalinium Hydrochloride. Just take one every three hourly, if it is necessary. Do not exceed 8 lozenges within 24 hours.
Tracy: Yeah.. Ok...
Me: As for his blocked nose....

Kring Kring~~ Kring Kring~~

Tracy: Oops, sorry.. Hold on for a moment while I pick up the phone..
Me: Haha.. (nervous laugh) Ok...

Stone at the same place.. knowing that there is a videocam hidden somewhere, but not knowing what to do at that awkward moment, I could only look at Tracy helplessly as she picked up the phone... At the same time, I kept thinking if I should give Beecham caplets for her "husband's" blocked nose.. Beecham contains Paracetamol.. if that whatever medication her "husband" is on contains paracetamol as well, am gonna heal his cold while at the same time causing liver toxicity in him... Argh.. Shit shit shit... What am I supposed to do??? Maybe I should revert to asking her if that medicine contains Paracetamol?

Tracy: Hello... Yeah yeah.. Oh.. Well... I guess u got the wrong number already, alright? Yeah.. Bye...

WTH? Wrong number? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....

Tracy: Sorry.. Yeah...
Me: Haha.. (another nervous laugh) Never mind.. It's ok... Haha.. So, for ur husband's blocked nose.. I would give him Beecham caplets.. Does ur husband's migraine medication contains any Paracetamol?
Tracy: Erm.. I dun think so...
Me: Ok... (dengan gembira-nya) Then it's safe to take this medication then.. It contains Paracetamol, Caffeine and a decongestant known as Phenylephrine.. Oh yeah, does ur husband have hypertension?
Tracy: Oh.. no no..
Me: Alright.. then it's safe to use this medication.. just take 2 caplets up to 4 times daily.. Do not exceed 8 caplets within 24 hours.. Yeah...
Tracy: Ok.. So, my husband is thinking of attending a wedding this weekend.. Do u think it's ok for him to drink?
Me: (Not knowing whether the answer should be a yes or a no, I chose the safe side) Yeah.. well.. I think it's best if he doesn't.. You know.. For his own sake.. Yeah... And do ask ur husband to rest more, maintain a high fluid intake, and take more fresh fruits and vegetables to boost up his body's immune system. The symptoms should resolve within 7-10 days.. If not, pls refer to your GP.
Tracy: Alright.. Ok.. Thanks very much...

What a disaster, man!!! I hope Tracy didn't lie to me.. Cause if she did, I sudah overdosed her "husband" with Paracetamol liao.. "He" probably would have ended up in hospital already.. I looked through all migraine medication after reaching home.. Found none that sounds similar in any way... Also, I suddenly realized that the Paracetamol content in Beecham should help to ease the sore throat.. Why on earth would I need to give him Dequadin lozenges in that case????? Sigh... Suan le ba... It's over already.. It's time to enjoy now!!! Mua haha... (as if I dun have PP3 degree exam to sit for next week)

Depressed already...

PP3 exemption exam post-mortem

Hah.. Got our PP3 exemption exam result back today.. As expected, I didn't make it.. But honestly, am not sad at all. In fact, am kinda happy and satisfied with my performance since I was mentally prepared for a fail already.. The paediatric prescription that I thought would fail me, as a result of me stupidly making dose check reference from BNF 53 instead of BNF for Children, wasn't the one that had failed me, surprisingly!! In fact, not even 1 single mark was deducted from my dose check column. Haha.. It was the private Phenobarbital prescription that failed me.. I confirmed the dosage with the prescriber, but forgot to get him/her writing it down on the prescription.. Argh.. 60 marks gone!!! Stupiak!!

Anyway, am happy because I didn't repeat all my previous stupiak mistakes at all (though I created a few more this time)... Also, I was left with 15 marks this time!! At least it's not a negative mark anymore!!! Hehe.. Most of all, for the first time, I actually got everything correct for 2 out of the 5 prescriptions!!! i.e. no mark was deducted at all!!! i.e. no stupiak mistake at all!!! wah... so touched to see that, man!!! Haha... =P

CONGRATULATION to all of u who have been exempted!!!!! Well done!!!!! Dun forget to belanja ya!!! Ngek ngek ngek... =)

To M204

I MISS YOU GUYS (GALS)!!!!!!!!!!

Yea... I must admit that, I miss u all... Sigh.. I can't help but recall our late night mamak session, our late night EBOX sing-K session, our late night wu-liao session, our late night movie session, our late night truth-or-dare session (though Big Tummy Gordon always very reluctant to share, yet wanna korek a lot from others.. lolz), our late night (and afternoon as well la) volleyball session, our early morning dim sum session, our library "studying" session (as if), our A Famosa trip, our Seremban reunion session, and not to forget our very own M204 + P105 gathering session... All these seem to have just happened yesterday only... But now, P105 is already in Scotland, and M204 is on everywhere else in the world, but none in Scotland.. I can't help but wonder when all of us will all be able meet up again? Sigh... Time flies... Ciak Sai Monkey Glen will be in London soon, though. Really hope to see him ciak sai and talking about Yi Nan Wang again real soon... Kaka... XD

Now everybody seems to be busy with own stuffs and when was the last time I actually MSN with u all? Long time never hear from the Seremban ppl liao.. How are u all doing there? How about those of u who are in Aussie and New Zealand? Everything the same? P105 is entirely stressed out here la.. We had already sit for 4 class tests (covering the entire course notes) even though we are here for less than 2 months only.. Finals in a week's time.. British National Formulary, Medicines, Ethics and Practices, and module notes are our bedtime stories.. Cooking for dinner and buying groceries are our only source of entertainment.. Sad, isn't it? But it's ok.. All these will be over in few weeks time.. Am looking forward to my Europe trip after exams. Wee~~ Keke... Wish u guys (gals) are here, too... Sob...

Thank u all for being great frens of mine and for all the wonderful memories that we share.. I know this sounds aunty, but still, do keep in touch, alright? Miss u all real loads...... =)

CofFEe cHIcKEn

Huhuhu... Came across this recipe on the net yesterday. Since I had no idea what to cook for today's dinner, I decided to give it a try. Yerrr.. I sound more and more aunty liao la... Sob.. XP Anyway, the sauce was supposed to contain Sherry as well de... But, poor Asian students like us do not have such luxurious stuff at home. So, I dengan creative-nya substituted Sherry with brown sauce we curi-ed from Todds' Bar instead, not knowing how the taste would turn out to be actually.. XD

So, I marinated the chicken drumsticks with freshly brewed coffee, soy sauce, brown sugar and brown sauce (See? Brown sugar and brown sauce.. It does sound sensible after all what..) for few hours. Then, I pan-fried the drumsticks while heating up the marinating sauce in another pan. When the drumsticks turned lightly brown, I poured the sauce over and simmered the drumsticks in the sauce, allowing the sauce to thicken by further boiling it together with the drumsticks. Finally when the sauce caramelized, TA-DA!! Chua Pei Ling's first ever coffee chicken was done!! =D

Well, it turned out quite ok, except that the coffee taste wasn't strong enough, and the taste 0f soy sauce was slightly too strong pulak. Haha.. Will try to improve by adding more coffee powder, and less soy sauce next time. =) Anyway, the sauce went well with rice!! Yum... =P According to my housemates, it tasted like Marmite. Haha.. Cookie Monster Su Ann with the strongest threshold among us loved the sauce so much that she thought of dipping bread into it!! Haha.. The sauce tasted just nice to her. She even requested me to cook this dish again next time. It made her felt at home. =D Happy le... Am flattered!! Haha.. Ah Su Ann, it's my pleasure!! Hehe... =D
A picture of my coffee chicken posing...

Oopsy!! Too late..

Wasn't in time to capture a shot before it's gone.. XD

sTErILe L@b

This post was meant to be published right after our sterile lab session last week. BUT, the thought of having to finish studying 200 over pages of FMT1 module notes in few days time finally overpowered the urge to blog. Gosh.. What a nerd I am... Sob... T_T Well, it's not like I have no PP3 protocol to prepare and 200 over pages of FMT2 course notes to study now, but well... just after dinner ma.. still very full lar... cannot study yet.. not good for brain... XD

So, on the 19th of July 2007, I got myself sterilized (Ehem.. as in the free from contaminants type of sterilize, not the other type that you are thinking, OK?!!) and went into a sterile lab for the first time of my life!! Hehe.. Actually the whole process wasn't anything as canggih as it sounds like lo.. First, washed hands, then put on "shower cap", plastic gloves and plastic shoe covers (looks more like expandable plastic bag to me though) to enter the Class C Preparation Room. Then, here comes the interesting part. ALL 6 of us had to get change into the sterile suits TOGETHER in a WELL-LIT SMALL room!!! Even though we did it back-to-back, and kept reminding each other not to look back by saying "Don't turn around, don't turn around ya.. I am naked!! I am naked!!" but honestly, the room was so small that we could still see "parts and pieces" of each other with the corner of our eyes when we changed lo.. Ok.. Am I making things sound slightly bit obscene now? XP So we put on another layer of gloves, boots and head cover on top of the one we already had. Then swabbed our hands with alcohol and crossed over the bench that served as the borderline to enter the Class A Sterile Lab. Huhuhu... We were taught the correct way to handle needle syringe and to reconstitue sterile products. Me and Siao Cha Bo dengan curi-curi lifted up our face masks a few times to "breathe" in the sterile lab.. I hope we didnt contaminate the lab.. Kaka.. very hard to breathe with the masks on ma.. Lack of Oxygen la!!! XP By the way, the lecturer was quite C.U.T.E!!! Kakaka.. A bit round round... Kekeke... It wasn't until he took off his sterile suit that we got to witness his cuteness!!! Then, saliva started drooling down... Kakaka.. Too bad we didnt manage to snap a photo with him... ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH... =P

Anyway, accident did happen... I shouldnt elaborate more here, just in case Chua Ah Ming gets traumatized for the 2nd time.. Nothing much actually. Just that Chua Ah Ming yelled when her sterile suit fell onto the floor and the concerned Su Ann turned over to ask what had actually happened and saw something that she shouldnt really have seen it... Since Chua Ah Ming claimed that her papamama were the only one who had seen it before ever since she was born, she got super duper depressed after that.. "How? How? Cannot kahwin already la..." and so forced Su Ann to kahwin her.. However, due to her demanding nature (roses everyday and chocs every other day), Su Ann got annoyed and decided to divorce her after 1 week of marriage. Chua Ah Ming didnt really care.. She told Su Ann, "Hmph!! I petik jari beribu-ribu would come for me one lo!!". However, she asked for 200 pounds (can pay by installment) from Su Ann for seeing the **** that she has "cultivated" with Tription Soy Agar (TSA) for 22 years... Well.. Am not really elaborating that much, am I??? Kakaka... XP

Camwhore session suggested by Siao Cha Bo XD

Can you spot me?? Hahaha... =P

i M@dE thESe... =D

Procrastinating... Super not in the mood to study even though Judgement Day brought upon by FMT1 class test will soon arrive in 15 hours time. Yes, I know I am a piece of char siew... Had cheesy pasta again ma just now... Too full liao brain cannot function well also de la... (alasan) XP

Anyway, chua ah ming dengan insulting-nya doubted my cooking skill when we had our PP3 lab session today (during which we should really be discussing about the differences between POM and P medicines)!! OUCH!! So here I am, to prove to her that, I can actually cook lo!!! XP Kekeke... But most of all, just wanna share the recipes and hope to get some feedback if anyone has any nice recipe to recommend... hehehe... =P

-Asparagus and bacon roll-ups-
Got the recipe from brother-in-law. Made it when me
and housemates had our first proper dinner in Glasgow.
Finally not frozen pizza nor fast foods anymore... =P

Cooked the three dishes below when Ganas Voon, Ah Xin and Chua Ah Ming happily went cycling on Isle of Cumbrae. Supposed to be Ganas Voon's and Ah Xin's turn to cook, but didnt wanna tire them out and hoped to get them something nice and hot to eat after one whole day of socializing with the lembuS and kambingS on the island. Ooh.. Am I angelic or what?? Kakaka... XD
-Mashed potatoes- =D

-Cheddar cheese cobb salad-

-Canadian bacon and eggplant roll-ups -

And finally, I made this for Ganas Voon's birthday dinner.

-Yoghurt fried chicken- =D

By the way, ALL my housemates are still alive and none of them has had to spend a night in Roya Infirmary before. Thank Goodness... kakaka... XD

*sINfuL*

Yay!!~ One more day to go before FMT1 class test commences... How's my progression? Not even half of the book revised. Oopsy! Think I should say, flipped through instead... XP

This afternoon, in order to motivate myself (alasan) to study hard, I had cheesy pasta for lunch, chatted with housemates, then read Naruto comic online (thought Sasuke was dead!! ceh...), then finally opened up my FMT1 module notes with a big packet ("better for sharing!" as stated on the package) of Walker's Sensation Thai-sweet-chili-flavour chips in my hand, munch munch munch, till I finally realized that 3 quarters of the content was already gone, got a shock and quickly threw it back onto the shelf (just so as I dun feel guilty for finishing it within half an hour time), then tried to focus on Licensing, felt sien and back ache as a result of the stupiak kid-size chair in my room, so I shifted my butt and module notes onto the bed, and dozed off till dinner time... zzZZZzzZZ...

ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What have I done whole day???!! XP

Great!! And I just found out from the nutritional info that it was 30g of F.A.T.S that I had consumed together with the chips this afternoon, not to mention the pasta....

And this blog post just suddenly sound so much like a page from Bridget Jones' Diary when she was still single.. and I happen to be Bridget Chua... *clap clap clap.....* T_T

c@ll mE cHAr SieW!!~

Wakakakaka.. Thanks to Hansel and Ganas Voon *ahem ahem*, I finally bought Stephen King's latest novel, Lisey's Story about half an hour from Waterstone on the Buchanan Street!! It was selling at half the original price, i.e. 3.49 pounds only leh!! Tell me, how could I resist the temptation??? Even Hansel also struggled so long before he said "NO!" leh... That Ganas Voon la!! Happily told me this half price news yesterday afternoon. So just now after class I ma SHUN BIAN bought the book while I was on the way to get Unitel phone cards lo... Ganas Voon is the culprit behind my char siew behavior!!! PAY ME!!! XP

Anyway, like what chua ah ming promised to her newly ordered Harry Potter in her blog, I W.I.L.L wait till class tests are over then only start reading my newly bought Lisey's Story... Oh no... I can hear it calling for me already.... "Pei Ling... read me... READ ME!!!" Argh... ok ok... Will just flip through a few pages of it then will keep it aside till exams are over... At least I will try la... *God Bless* XP

Trying real hard to superimpose Lisey's Story's
coverpage onto FMT1 module notes. YeW!!~

rESe@RcH sTUdeNt-iNg wITh cHuA hUi mINg

Chua Ah Ming!!!!! This blog post was originally meant to be a sweet and memorable one lo... BUT, after considering the fact that u jatuhkan-ed my image from none to negative 200 with ur blog, and made me utter "Yeeew!!~ Bad taste!!!" right into the face of our dearest Aunty Boyter, this is what it has become:-

So, in resposne to chua ah ming's not-so-intellectual post in her blog, I would like to take this opportunity to stand up for myself, and to reveal her true colour here. Yup.. Finishing tabletting lab 1.5 hours earlier than scheduled was indeed something to celebrate, at least for ppl like us who always kena halau out of the lab by our dearest lab assistant who yearns to go home early lo... And since wearing casual tee and jeans and sneakers beneath our lab coats was something that jakun IMU students like us were never allowed before, chua ah ming and I got super duper excited at our smart-and-gorgeous-post-graduate-research-students look alike appearance (at least we thought we were) that we happily indulged ourselves in a camwhore session in chua ah ming's kitchen (ya, sad case...)

See? We do look like we K-N-O-W something, don't we?

And this is to prove to our papamama that we aren't
just pieces of char siew!! Note that we were actually
FROWNING while reading through British National
Formulary, Medicines, Ethics & Practice and Dorland's
Medical Dictionary. Haih... It's not easy being
a pharmacist afterall... XP

Nerdy look of two knowledgeable(?) Mpharm students

And this was when the poser spirit started going out of control... (>_<")

Yeah!!~ We are simply COOL and IRRESISTABLE!!!
Note chua ah ming's "cool" look... more like "sesat"
I suppose?? XD

Chua Ah Ming proposed for a SASSY look.
I think I scored a 100% for this... =P
chua ah ming? Sigh... "gagal dou mou dak gagal"

Chua Ah Ming's fat hao pose is finally revealed to the world!!
Wakaka... Note the purplish bear-bear socks on her feet.
WAAAH~~ super "sexy" aah!!! XD

And this is the dutch-lady photo I chose lo, chua ah ming!!
Not the 9-months-pregant-milkmaid displayed so
vividly on ur blog lo!!! OUCH!!! T_T

Revenge is S-W-E-E-T, isn't it? Ngek ngek ngek... And Ganas Voon, I hereby forbid u to clap hands while reading this!! Try me and I shall create a post on ur "fairytale" story real soon... Kekeke... Am I evil or what? *wink* XP

ScOtTisH "R@mLy bUrgER"~

Ooh.. we just can't get enough of Ramly burger, can we? Not even when we are a few thousands miles away from Malaysia and find ourselves overnumber by the caucasians.

Me and Chua Ah Ming had a taste of the Scottish "Ramly burger" at a road-side stall/van known as The Vineyard (in case u are wondering, no, they dun sell any wine or grape or whatsoever things to do with a vineyard, except for some bottled fruit juice which we weren't char siew enough to try) during one of our first few sesat attempts in exploring the city centre of Glasgow. As quoted by ah ming, "the price is the same ma, just that one is in ringgit while the other one is in pound..." XP Hmm.. A big bite of scalding-hot-super-sinful-cheese-oozing-out-burger on a cold gloomy drizzling day in Scotland... Ooh... Is there a need for me to further elaborate the bahagia-ness anymore? XD

So last Saturday, me and ah ming got a sudden unexplicable crave (no, in case u are wondering again, we are two gorgeous gals who are still single and available and we are definitely not pregnant) over this "Ramly burger" so much so that we were willing to walk all the way there, not hindered by the fact that it's in a totally opposite direction to that of our shopping destination of the day, i.e. the Buchanan Street. We finally got the burger in our hands and after comforting ourselves that even if we end up having food poisoning due to handling of our burgers by the waitress who sneezed and coughed into her hands and merely wiping them with a piece of tissue after that Royal Infirmary was just across the road, we put the burgers into our mouth, anticipating the chemistry to happen once again...

"Arhm..... munch munch..."

The burger turned out to be slightly cold, and the cheese was falling apart, and apparently the sneezing waitress forgot to add ketchup and mustard (oh ya, and in case u are wondering why I didnt get chili sauce instead, here in Scotland, if u were to ask for chili sauce to go with ur burger, u would most probably end up getting a "Har? Which planet do u come from?" look from the attendant. I kena once before in McDonald. Ouch!!) into my burger... Chua Ah Ming happily said, "yong ge man tai" and was in time to run away before I turned into HANNIBAL... XD Anyway, what a disappointment lor!!! Sigh... what to do? It was a different cook ma... Uncle Ramly was most probably resting at home when we ingested his daughter's bacteria-loaded burger... Yeeeeewww... (>_<")

Still, we finished the burgers within 5 minutes time, although we weren't satisfied at all... Hey, it cost us 1.50 pounds each, ok? Try converting that into ringgit and see how many biji Ramly burger u can get la.. Well... Royal Infirmary didnt have 2 new patients being admitted that day, but Buchanan Street was visited by 2 Malaysia jakuns who swore to catch Uncle Ramly in The Vineyard when they feel like char-siew-ing again next time... XP

aP@ tu???

Well.. I was in the kitchen just now, preparing to make a cup of Neslo and start to "hisap" my cookies... So I took the kettle with some leftover water out to see if anyone of my housemates would like to fill up their water bottle.. Then, when I was in the hallway, I realized that all the room doors were closed. Seems like all my housemates had turned in early today, I thought to myself. Then, this was when I saw the ceiling light in the toilet flickered... My first reaction was to look at the switch on the wall... and, it was on the "off" position!! When I looked back into the toilet, the light had already stopped flickering, as if nothing had happened... Erm... apa tu? Why the ceiling light started flickering for no reason la? My hair stood up all at once... and I went back into the kitchen to continue brewing Neslo, trying to act calm...

Then Ganas Voon came into the kitchen and saw me... Upon hearing the incident, she told me that was not the first time happening already.. In fact, she had seen it flickering few times before and was frightened, too.. Ah Xin saw it once as well... But now Ganas Voon has already got used to the "flickering-light-in-the-toilet" phenomena liao.. Hmm... apa tu la??? I still have to stay here for another year de leh... (>_<")

MENINGITIS VACCINATION

Think many of us are most probably bothered by this questions now..

"Should I get a jab of Meningitis vaccine before going over to the UK?"

Well, my mum has called up my aunt regarding this, since my aunt happens to be a doctor herself, and she has two children who are currently studying in the UK. As per the information given by her, vaccination against meningitis is not really needed. Although meningitis is more common in the UK in comparison to Malaysia, but it is still considered a rare disease there. It will only form an issue if it is an African country that we are travelling to. The two of her sons didn't receive, and haven't had any vaccination even until today. Moreover, the vaccine is not cheap at all. According to her, it costs around RM300-400. Well, I am not very sure about the price though. Yeaw told me it costs RM80 in Kajang, whereas Ah Xin told me it's around RM120-140 in KL.

So, personally I dun think I will go for the vaccination. These are just some information for your reference only. You can still go ahead if you wish to. BUT, do make sure you get the jab as early as possible as it may cause mild fever as a side effect. Just imagine what sort of troubles you would run into at the kastam if they were to find out that you are running a fever. I wonder if they will even permit your entrance into their country. You might be taken as the carrier of some whatsoever infectious diseases. Do plan your vaccination schedule properly if you are keen, alright? Cheers!! =)
