MeLE kALikImaKA fRoM RomE!!!!!~~~

Mua haha... That's "Merry Christmas" in Hawaiian oh! =) And am in ROME!!!!! =D

Blogging from the hostel we are staying in, Mona Lisa. Haha... Tell u what, this hostel is great! If anyone of u were to come to Rome in the future, do come and put a night over here. The facilities provided are awesome and the management team are superb!! They are friendly, helpful, and they speak fluent English most importantly. Haha... Am enjoying my stay here... =)

However, so far the experiences in Italy are kinda bad though. First night, we arrived in Milan. We had to take the subway to reach the tourist spots, but there was no one working at the ticket counter. We had to buy the tickets from the ticket machine, which was in Italiano!! Goodness... Was totally lost... Then got cheated by this stupiak SOB... Actually, he literally snatched my money away from me. Luckily I was smart and fast enough to react, so he only managed to get 10Euros out of my purse. Idiot!! Long story.. Will post more about it after I get back to Glasgow le..

Then we took the night train from Milan to Rome. It was on a "free seating" basis. We thought it was no big deal, not like we were that particular about where to sit. But we were obviously wrong!! "Free seating" means they will accept as many customers as they could, without considering the number of seats available on the train!! The train was freaking packed!! We couldn't even squeeze onto the train initially. Finally, we got ourselves in but we had to stand all through the ride, which would last for 8 hours... OH MY GOSH!!! All the stupiak smokers standing next to us kept smoking every 5 minutes somemore. Wah liao!! Hello, confined area wei!!~ Use ur brain la!! Luckily we managed to squeeze ourselves into the corridor around 1 hour later and we sat on our luggages to sleep. Sad case wei... Like homeless ppl... Couldn't really sleep also cause it was really very uncomfortable and those stupiak smokers kept walking in and out to smoke. Gosh... What a night, man!!

Things got better when we reached Rome yesterday. At least ppl here do speak English. We visited the Palentino and reached the highlight of Rome, i.e. the Colosseum at around 335p.m. only to be told that it was closed 5 mins before we arrived. WAH LIAO EH!!!! What the heck?? So early???!! We bought the tickets already actually.. Depressed betul... We thought of visiting it again today, but it's not opened. Christmas ma.. Sob sob sniff sniff... Could only meraba-raba the wall and waved Bye Bye to it... T_T

Anyway, today we are going to Vatican City to say "Hi ya" to the pope. Haha... Felt much better after a good night sleep. And u know why I have so much time to blog? Because except for me and Wern, all my travelling mates overslept... Dots... And they slept earlier than us somemore... Even the "tour guide" Xing Wu De overslept... A whole bunch of pigs!!! I had to wake them up 15 mins before the management team cleared the breakfast away. Otherwise, they would have to starve all the way to Vatican City... God knows if they would be too hungry till they eat the pope alive!! XD Wakakaka...

Ok la... I guess that's all for today. Looking forward to our visit to the Vatican City... Must borrow the "hat" from the pope and take picture with it... Kakaka... XD

Till then, see ya!! =D

Another homey day!

Didn't go anywhere. Just stayed home to do some packing and research for Milan. Tired + wanted to Skype with parents, I didn't follow Wern they all in bringing Xing Wu De to look see look see around the Glasgow University area. Once again, SORRY!!!!!~~~ XP

At night, I did join their potluck dinner though. Me and Wen Jiun & co. cooked Nam Yu fried pork again, using the leftover Nam Yu and pork from the other day. Jiun didn't know that the pork was already seasoned and she happily marinated them with 6 pieces of Nam Yu somemore. In the end, our Nam Yu pork became Nam Yu bacon... (-_-") Super salty, man!! Even Lau Wee Yeaw also said it's a little bit salty... Haha... Sorry, ppl!! =P

Actually we claimed that the Nam Yu bacon was Nam Yu chicken in an attempt to lure Khang Wern to tasting it. But her taste bud was very geng, man! She knew it was pork the moment she put it into her mouth and rushed to the rubbish bin to throw it back out... Gagal!!~ =P

Also, I made 2 pieces of coffee chicken under the request of Lu Yi, and in compensation for not accompanying Xing Wu De out, of which Husky Hee Sheong (after coming back from Kiruna, he starts thinking that he's a husky, rather than a human being. Must be the cold weather that has got his brain damaged... Sigh...) happily asked if it was shao1 jiao1 (burnt) chicken... Grrrr... Haha... Anyway, I cooked the shao jiao chicken at Wen Jiun's place. Not very used to using the wok and stove at her place. So I overcooked the chicken in the end. The flesh was a little bit hard. Haha... Paisay!!~ =P

Came back home after that to continue some packing for Italy + Paris trip.

And this will be my last post till I am back from vacation! Just realize that I haven't blogged a bout my trip to Germany and Czech last summer yet. Mua haha... What a lazy blogger I am! =P

Housemates, welcome back from Kiruna (even though I won't be around already by the time u all read this post.. haha..)!! Have a safe trip to London, alright? Don't miss me too much ya!! Wakakaka.. =P

Till then, see ya!! =D

hOMe aLoNE d@Y 5

Huhu... Did nothing much basically... Woke up in the morning then started doing aunty stuffs like wiped the shoes la, did laundry la, packed this packed that la, and etc. in preparation of my Italy + Paris trip on the 23rd. Been out for the last few days, so didn't really have time for all these aunty stuffs lor... That's also why I didn't follow Wern, Yi Jie, and Lu Yi out to pick Xing Wu De (Moo Moo Liang) up from Buchanan bus station when he arrived at about 1230p.m. Paisay paisay.. Am feeling kinda guilty de actually... XP

Saw them coming back while I was on the way to the laundry room to dry my clothes. I was in t-shirt and short pants only. Managed to "Hello Hello" for a while before I got frozen. Haha... Then, they brought him out to go jalan-jalan around Buchanan + Argyle area while I stayed back home to dry my clothes (aunty dao!!) and do some research for our trip to Milan (at least this one sounds posh... kaka...).

Planned to have early dinner together at The Goose at 4p.m. but because of the cold weather outside, all of them were famished at 3p.m. and asked to bring forward our dinner appointment. Note, it's DINNER, ok? At 3 o'clock in the afternoon!!!!! Gosh... Haha.. Most probably because it was a Friday, all the bars were so crowded, man! We couldn't find enough seats in The Goose and after much hassles in looking around, we finally ended up in Counting House. Xing Wu De was super duper quiet over the dinner. Jet lag? Or maybe because there was a stranger, i.e. Lu Yi and so he was a wee bit shy shy?? Kakaka.. XD

Went walking around George Square area after dinner. Freezing cold wei... Nearly everyone couldn't stand the coldness (I found it rather OK though... receptors rosak liao maybe.. haha...) and we headed home after half an hour of merayau-rayau.

Then we started making tang yuan in J7, the kandang for Moo Moo throughout his stay in Glasgow. XD We mashed sweet potatoes and mixed them together with the glutinuous rice flour. Also, we used red beans paste and mashed sweet potatoes as the inti for some of the tang yuan. Creative leh? XD And thanks to Yi Jie who couldn't estimate the amount of flour and water to add, the glutinous rice ball just kept turning bigger and bigger till in the end, all of us suffered from tang-yuan-overdose. But it was quite fun la... All of us had a great time... =)

Oh ya oh ya!! We made one special Nutella tang yuan as well!! We said that whoever was lucky enough to get this Nutella tang yuan would be the first to get married among us!! And guess what? Miss Hu Yi Jie was the honoured one!! Wakakaka... She panickly passed the tang yuan to Xing Wu De, who in turn broke the good news to us. Xing Wu De was forced to swallow down the Nutella tang yuan by Miss Hu Yi Jie. Hmm... So, I came out with this conclusion that, because they shared the lucky Nutella tang yuan, both of them will get married early, God knows maybe to each other, and then live happily ever after???!! Mua hahahhaa.... XD

Came home after that to continue with my "research" and zzZzz.... By the way, I got a Christmas card from Yeang Wee and Gordon. What a surprise! Hehe... Thanks so much buttockS!! XD And Gordon Pang, any more lame ah u? XP

Anyway, welcome to Glasgow, Xing Wu De!! =D

Whoa!! CHAR SIEW to the max!!!

Woke up around 8a.m. as I ter-K.O. early the night before. Replied family mail, had heavy breakfast (2 pieces of bread with peanut butter spread + cereal + milk), then went to the bank to withdraw money and gave to Ah Bao so that she could help me to exchange them into Euros. Met up with Joey, Ja Yee, Choy Leng, Leah, Xin Hui, and Alicia after that to go for my very first movie here in Glasgow, i.e. Enchanted!! =D

One thing weird about Glaswegian cinema is that it's based on a free seating basis!! So no matter how early u buy ur movie ticket, u are not necessarily guaranteed to a good seat. Another thing different from Malaysian's cinema is that instead of switching on the air conditioner, they switched on the heater. Haha.. of course la! Wanna freeze to death meh? Actually hor, even though this Cineworld is known as the World's Tallest Cinema (note, it's not that tall as well after all.. just 5 or 6 storeys maybe?), I honestly still think our very own Midvalley GSC is so much bigger and looks so much more grand comparatively lo.. Most probably because ppl here are not as crazy as us over movies ba. When I told my IPL group members that I so wanna watch The Golden Compass, they actually paused for a few seconds before figuring out what the heck was that. I was like, "Nicole Kidman!!! Daniel Craig!!! AAHhh~" but they just stared blankly back at me... DUH!!!!! Potong stim betul!! (><")

Ok ok.. Back to Enchanted... As it was a weekday, basically there were only 7 of us plus around 5 ang mohs in the big theatre.. So we lauged our heads off like nobody's business la. Kakaka... =P It was quite a nice show. The soundtracks were very catchy, too. Xin Hui and Ah Cia got addicted to the song "How Do You Know" after the show. Haha.. The storyline was quite a brilliant one, even though it's not all that logical la. Christmas movie ma... Just sheer blast of happiness. But I am not saying that it's a bad thing though. At least I enjoyed the show. Felt really happy and cheerful after watching. Hehe.. Think Amy Adams looks a lot like Kirsten Dunst la. Haha.. And she's pretty! =) Loves her purplish night gown. Aww.. Santa Claus, can I have it as my Christmas present, pls? XD

Went shopping around after that to continue my hunt for a winter jacket. Well, I should say, to give myself more excuses to char siew the GAP jacket and eliminate the rest. Not water resistant la, not thick enough la, not stylish enough la, for this price I would rather spend a wee bit more to get the GAP one la, and etc. So, I finally managed to convince myself that there was NO better bargain out there. I have all the reasons to char siew the GAP jacket. Kakaka... Spent such a long time in the fitting room choosing the colour. In the end, I decided to go for the white colour one. I know it gets dirty easily la, but I still find it the most adorable leh... Dun wanna betray my heart.. Kaka.. XD Hence, I paid up, officially turning myself into a GAP girl again, then walked out of of the shop with a super big bag with super big "GAP"s printed on it, and looked proudly around at all the passerby.

"YUP!! It's GAP!!!!! Rich Asian I am, huh? Mua hahahha..." XP

CHAR SIEW!!!!! super shiok la... XD

Came back home after that to become tukang masak. Haha.. Cooked myself chicken with Dopiaza cooking sauce and fried round lettuce for dinner. Hehe.. Yummy yummy... =P

Went over to Wern's place later on at night for trip's discussion again. Booked our tickets to Paris Disneyland!! Woohoo~ 32 pounds per person for a "1 day 1 park" ticket, man!! But I seriously don't mind because it's Disneyland!!!!! Am so gonna get myself a Disney cartoon character's soft toy!! Wakakaka... Hopefully I will still have enough Euros left by that time to char siew la.. Eurgh... And Chua Ah Ming, stop despising me!!! Soft toys ARE cute, OK???!! XP

By the way, I bought myself TREsemme hairmask as well. Seriously tak boleh tahan my hair getting all tangled up after shampooing. The stupiak dry weather la... Been losing so much hair lately wei... Will become a botak soon if I choose to ignore it lor... Grrrr....

Aahhh... I am feeling like a piece of big fat char siew with oil dripping down at the moment... *drip drip drip...* XD

hOMe aLoNE d@Y 3

Woke up at around 11a.m. by the stupiak fire alarm test drill that got me jumped out of the bed. Grrrr... Made myself breakfast (struggling hard to finish the 2 loaves of breads my generous housemates left for me... EeWWw!!) then started blogging about "hOMe aLoNE d@Y 2". Completed the post at about 1p.m. Ahh... It's lunch time! MUST have something to eat even though I just had breakfast 2 hours ago. For the sake of leading a healthy lifestyle, u see? Kekeke... =P

So, I cooked myself a super BIG bowl of kway tiao soup with chicken, vege, and egg!! Ngek ngek.. Oh well, I underestimated the portion when cooking... Not my fault for overeating... *shrugged* XD Hang fook~~

After bathing and calling back home, I went out to hunt for winter jacket again, keeping in mind that I MUST go to Topshop at the end of the day to get my skinny flare jeans. Kaka.. Went to Buchanan area and my adrenaline started pumping when I saw the GAP poster with "BIG SALES" printed so vividly. Barged in without second thought and indeed, almost all the items were discounted, with some up to 75%!!!!! OOSH... so much cheaper than their normal prices!! Went into the fitting room with both my hands loaded with clothes and pants. Kaka... =P

Tried on a winter jacket labelled with "Warmest Extra-Chaud". Super comfy, man!! Fell in love immediately.. Grey- and black-coloured one were discounted from 68 to 48 pounds while the white-colour one was discounted to 39.90 pounds only!! *Don't ask me why cause I have no idea why they were doing this as well* Too bad the design wasn't that trendy, and I looked a wee bit like a bear in it. Ish ish... Decided to shortlist it and promised myself to come back again for it if I couldn't find a better bargain after looking around. Hehe...

Now, here comes the discovery of the day... *drum rolling* TADA!! I found a pair of boot cut jeans from GAP that cost 12.99 pounds only!!!!! The original price was 29.90 pounds!! Better still, it fitted me just nice!!!!! Well, actually not exactly just nice la... The length was slightly little bit too long for me. But, who cares?!! Just sew or fold it up la!! DUH~~ Mua haha... I mean, come on man! Nowadays, even back in Malaysia it's so freaking hard to get a pair of jeans that cost less than RM100 already, not to mention it's a GAP jeans le wei!!!!! W00t w00t~~ ^^ Paid up immediately to officially declare myself as a GAP girl. Wakakaka... Char siew!! Char siew!!! XP

Aahhh... The char siew feeling is finally back... Can't even remember when was the last time I splurged. Moreover, this is not splurging, ok? It's what u call practical!! Compare it with the 40 pounds Topshop jeans that I nearly bought... Tsk tsk tsk... Although it has no skinny whatsoever terms printed anywhere on it for me to show off with, I have subconsciously convinced myself that it WAS a S.K.I.N.N.Y boot cut jeans that I had bought. Lalala~~ XD

Came home in a lifted mood. Don't u think it makes such a good excuse to binge eat??! So I made myself cheese baked rice with fried chicken, and fried round lettuce for dinner!! Huhuhu... Yum yum... =P Also, Xin Hui invited me to go for Christmas Caroling at her place, and of course, I attended happily. Hehe.. Had a great time there... Thanks Xin Hui dear for calling me along.. =)

After that went to Yi Jie's place to discuss some stuffs regarding our trip to Italy and Paris. Wasn't very productive cause we spent loads of time trying to find out public tranportation that could bring us directly from Bergamo airport to Milan's city centre. My bad... I am the person in-incharged of Milan, but I didn't do my homework well. Bao, Yi Jie and Wern, I AM SO SORRY!!!!!~~~ XP

That's all that had happened in Day 3 lo... Loaded with events as well... Housemates, see, am having such a good time without the three of u around. Kakaka... No la no la.. Joking only la.. Kinda miss u all actually de... Hehe... =P

YAY!!! Got new jeans to wear lor... XD

hOMe aLoNE d@Y 2

Yet another round of BINGE EATING!!!!!!!! XP

Planned to wake up around 9a.m. in the morning to go out kai kai, but the consequence of sleeping at 5a.m. rendered the attempt failure. Woke up at 1130a.m. instead as a result of handyman knocking on the door. Decided to ignore him since I was alone at home and my hair was in the "lion state". So, he entered with his own keys and I decided to continue sleeping and to pretend as if no one was at home. Lazy wanna go entertain him la...

Then, woke up again at 130p.m. cause bladder was on the edge of exploding. No choice. Went to the toilet then to the kitchen to get the handyman stunned/frightened. He thought no one was around. Haha... =P Had cereal as brunch (dearest housemates, I think I've started to love cereal already. Kaka.. ) then off I went to Argyle Street to hunt for my winter jacket.

Nearly Zara-fied myself. Such a stylish + nice jacket, man!! Figure hugging somemore wei... But it was sooOO stylish that I actually looked weird wearing it together with my jeans, sling bag & sport shoes. A pair of boots would go perfectly well with it, but argh, I haven't found boots that I really like yet. It has no hood, which means I would have to get a stylish beanie to go with it. Need a handbag, too. Sling bag becomes nonsence the moment u have this jacket on u. Chua Pei Ling with a handbag rather than her signature sling bag? Gosh.. Can't imagine... So much hidden expenses somemore. I finally put it back on shelf, and left Zara with my mind kept wondering, "Should I? Should I?"

Couldn't find any nice jacket in other shops, but I started hunting for stuffs to go along with that jacket. Saw this skinny flare jeans from Topshop and I decided to give it a try just for the heck of it. Wah liao!! Fitted me well eh!!!!! W00t W00t~~ ^^ For those human-stick bimboS out there, u would never understand the excitement + pleasure to find urself being able to fit ur fatty bom bom & lipid loaded thighs through a pair of skinny jeans lor. U dunno what u've been missing, man! Mua hahaha... I mean, S.K.I.N.N.Y jeans wei!! Kinda like given me no excuse not to make it mine, right? But I had to leave in a rush as I had "hang fook" dinner appointment with Vermicelli Law. Never mind, cause I think 10 out of 10 I will go back again for it. Kekekekeke... XP

Talking about "hang fook" dinner. Residents of JBC unit H7 and J7 decided to have an early celebration of Dong Zhi (Winter Auspice?) this year. Nine course meal wei!! Don't play play ah~ We had fried lettuce, lor mai kai, braised chicken feet & mushroom, white carrot soup, fried wantan, steamed fish, nam yu fried pork, and ice-cream!! OOSH!!!!! Who needs Asian Style MSG-loaded food when u could have such sumptuous home-cooked feast?? Super duper yummilicious!!!!! Hang fook till the last bit of it!!!!! XD

Immediately after that, with stomach still bloated and tummy bulging out, we proceeded to the most fun part of Dong Zhi, i.e. making tang yuen (glutinuous rice balls)!!!!! Huhuhu... I made red beans paste and together with Gula Melaka, they became the inti of the tang yuen!! Funny thing was that the tang yuen didn't float and were still hard even after we boiled them for more than half an hour... Then, Vermicelli Law went to dig out the flour packet from the rubbish bin (I suppose.. EewWw!!) and found out that Bao Bao actually bought the wrong flour!! Haha.. Instead of glutinuous rice flour, it was white rice flour that we used!! No wonder!!! Hahaha... So much of our effort, of course we wouldn't dump it. Moreover, the pandan leaves + ginger soup base was superb, man!! We finished everything still the same, with me, Vermicelli Law, and Bao Bao eating the most needless to say... XP Hang fook for another round~~~ HOOooo... XD

Housemates, me actually thought of reserving some for u all de lo. But because the tang yuen didn't turn out as expected and sugar-loaded ginger soup base was not that healthy after all, Vermicelli Law and I decided to sacrifice ourselves and helped to finish ur portions. So sweet of us, isn't it? I KNOW!!! XD

Stayed back to chat for a while after dinner and came back home at about 1230a.m. Like Cinderella, I started cleaning up the kitchen, toilet, and hallway of our unit in the middle of the night. Haha.. Cause handyman came in the afternoon ma.. We don't have the habit of wearing shoes at home, yet handyman stepped onto all those places with his shoes on. Geli la when I started imagining me stepping bare feet on whatever left behind from the shoes that he wore to almost everywhere.. YUCKS!!! So, I vacummed with Henry and mopped the floor in Japanese style lo. Then bathed, replied mail, and zzZzZ... XD

Aahhh... What an eventful day... =D

Thanks H7 and J7 for the wonderful dinner and companionship!! Love ya ppl to the max!! MUACKS and HUGZ... <3

hOMe aLoNE d@Y 1

Woohoo~ Exam's over!! Been Aly & AJ-ing on Youtube since I came back from sending housemates off at the Central Station just now. Kakaka.. And Yup!! Off the three of them to Kiruna, Sweden for vacation with Chew Yee, Lee Yin, and Chua Ah Ming... I was actually dying to go Kiruna lor, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it just didn't work out. Long story... Anyway, I didn't follow and am therefore home alone!!!!! =P

Wasn't that bad after all... Even though I got totally disturbed when I realized that stupiak Tudou is no longer working on my laptop!! I also dunno why... It's just that the video clips were there, but they would never start buffering... Grrrrr... Also, felt a bit (a bit bit only lar... not too much..) lonely cause the whole house was like so quiet, without the presence of my three noisy housemates... Kakaka... XD

Luckily Fhern and her darling saved my day by bringing over 2 super cheese-overdosed Farmfood instant pizzas for dinner!! Made super kao Aldi hot chocolate to go along with the pizzas somemore.. We did try to reduce the guilt factors by having a bowl of salad as the appetizer.. Am ignoring the thousand island dressing on the salad, you see? Then, we munched on Aldi maple and pecan crunch while watching TV. Nearly couldn't stop as it simply tasted so good!! BINGE EATING!!!!! Gosh..... XP

By the way, we were amazed by how UK citizens got so excited over the visit of their Queen. We tried to put ourselves in their shoes and wondered what we would do if we were told that "Blah Blah Blah" from the parliament is visiting our Taman's... Well, hmm... Nvm.. XD

And they introduced me to Hard Gay before leaving, too. Watch the video clip below if u are interested in finding out more. Ngek ngek ngek... I know u are... =P

Oh ya!! And I got a surprise early Christmas present from Chan See today, of which she wrongly-placed in Woon Chin's pigeon hole. Kakaka... XD Anyways, it was so sweet of u, lao po!! Thanks so much!!!!! MUACKS!!!!! Hugz... =)

Not to forget, Fhern & Wai Meng, thank u so much for ur companionship. It was very thoughtful of u both for willing to accept me as the lamp post of the night... =P

Aah... Life's good.. =D

b@KEd sPin@cH wIth EgGS

Came across this recipe few days ago and I decided to give it a try last night. In very good mood ma, after seeing sleet for the first time in my entire life.. Keke.. It turned out to be rather successful!! Hohoho... Am not gonna tell u what sort of ingredients I added to give it the yellowish-brownish colour.. Just assume it's some virtually fat free coloured-paste, alright? =P

tRibUtE tO kT tUNst@lL

I'M SORRY KT!!!!!~~~

Felt kinda bad towards KT Tunstall after my previous post... I seriously suck in expressing myself.. Think I made it sound as if Aly & AJ are way better than KT. But the fact is, this is definitely not what I meant!! I just wanted to say that I prefer the melody of Aly & AJ's cover to the melody of KT's original version. Maybe it's because I could relate to Aly & AJ's cover more since we are of closer age? Anyway, I MUST really reiterate that

KT IS AWESOME!!!!! KT IS AMAZING!!!!!

I'm currently addicted to her and her music as well!! What a wonderful singer and musician she is!! Such unique voice she has!! She's so good at live that it always sounds just like the studio recorded version, and sometimes, even better!!! Watch her performing looping live with her "wee bastard" here and get ready to be amazed...

Black Horse & the Cherry Tree (Live)

Live performance wise, this is indeed more captivating than Aly & AJ's, I must say. Gosh!! No wonder ppl say "Man cannot multitask", but never "woman"!! XD

Suddenly I See (Live)

So talented and so pretty!! I actually wikipedia-ed her to find out that she's 1/2 Irish, 1/4 Scottish and 1/4 Chinese!!!!! Huhu.. What a stalker I am, huh?! XP

Other Side of the World (MTV)

This song is about long distance relationship. It's such a beautiful song!!!~~ I have been listening to it for no less than 30 times already today. Seriously!! Haha... XP

Hold On (MTV)

This is the first song to be released off her latest album "Drastic Fantastic". KT is simply SOOOO cute and pretty here!!!!! XD

AAH... AM IN LOVE AGAIN!!!!!~~~ KT ROCKS BIG TIME!!!!! ^o^
