HeLLo fRoM sINg@PorE

Halo, everyone!! I have finally waved goodbye to Glasgow and thrown myself back into the Asian's arms. Yup! I'm in Singapore now but am not going back to my home country, Malaysia soon though. Visiting my sis and bro here. Hehe.. =) Will only go back 2 weeks later.

The journey back was a pleasant one. Just that the check-in officer was kinda unfriendly. Nearly sent my luggage to KL when it was stated clearly on the e-ticket that my destination was Singapore. Somemore showed sour face even though she was the one at wrong wor. The 13 hours spent in the flight from London Heathrow back to Singapore passed by much faster than I expected. It's like eat eat, sleep sleep, eat eat then arrived liao. Haha.. Guess that's because I had the company of a whole kampung of frens throughout the journey. Can't imagine how Ah Ming went through all these alone. Geng!!

And I CERTAINLY MISS GLASGOW ALREADY!!!!! Especially the weather and the accent!! When I first landed, I actualy felt abit awkward seeing so many ppl of my own kind. Haha.. It's hot here in Singapore!! I sweat badly everyday!! Wearing short pants instead of jeans doesn't help much. And so I grumble alot. Hahaha.. =P

First meal upon arrival: Chicken Rice (with lotsa chili!!) plus Curry Fishhead plus leafy vege (not lettuce, cabbage or brocolli!!)!!!!! OMG!!!!! Super bahagia~ =D Sorry lah.. no photo.. I finished the foods before I had time to take any photo. Wakakakak.. =P

Suffered a wee bit of jet lag. Was abit dizzy upon landing. Maybe because of the frequent turbulence throughout the flight and that the plane descended a wee bit too fast for my ear pressure to handle. But I was ok again after shower. Super adaptive wei~ XD

Oh ya... I thought I would receive better service or treatment here since the majority of ppl in this country are of my kind. Sadly, it isn't so. When I first arrived, I smiled and greeted the custom officer "Hi there!" but received no reply. She just took my passport, checked, and then *chop chop* and handed it back to me. I said "Thank You" and again she ignored me. Wah lao!!!!! What is this??? Ang mohs would at least nod even if they don't really fancy talking to u loh. Moreover, her name was Siti something something, which showed she was probably a Malaysian herself as well!!! Duh!!

So, I thought maybe being a custom officer she was forced to be serious. But my parents and I have had some other bad experience already these few days. For example, my mom wanted to buy aunty Korean drama VCD from a shop. So, she asked the salesgirl to recommend. The salesgirl told her to look for them herself. My mum told her it's very difficult to search from the pile of VCDs there and it would be better if she could recommend a few. The salesgirl drew out some very very common one like Winter Sonata and being a huge Korean drama fan, my mum has watched them all already. So, guess what she told my mum? "Then u don't have to buy anymore lah". What the??? Is that the way to do business nowadays?? Beh song!!

By the way, after some failure attempts in understanding and getting used to Scottish accent, I find Singlish rather funny. Haha.. So not used to hearing so much "lah loh leh ma ah har" in one sentence. Funny sial wei!! XD XD Am trying hard to hold on to the last bit of memory I still have of Scottish accent. It is slowly being displaced out by Singlish bit by bit everyday. NOOOooooo~~~ XP

Was in quite a good mood today. Why? Cause I had prawn noodles as lunch, durian as teatime, and nasi lemak (with 2 fried chic wings, fried egg, sambal, kacang and ikan bilis) as dinner!!!!! MUA HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!! Shiok ah~ What else can one ask for? XD XD

However, my mood was spoilt upon browsing through Ah Bi's blog just now. She left me MSN messages telling me to page her once I am online cause she has some PTPTN stuffs to share with me. She wasn't online just now but from what I understand from her blog, it seems that PTPTN is now chasing us to pay back for the loan. Great. I haven't even started working for goodness' sake!! Very efficient of them, huh? The thing is, I am not in Malaysia now. I don't have all the documents with me. I would have to provide my PTPTN and Bumiputera bank account number if I were to request to postpone the payment date. Like I can remember them by heart??? Ish... Really dunno what I should do now. They are sending out saman soon if I don't start paying up. Gotta seek for Chua Ming's advice tomolo. Hopefully I could find a way out. Ish... Completely spoilt my post-nasi-lemak happy mood wei... Grrrrr.....

Oh, by the way, I had a miserable time reading through PTPTN webpage in BM. So happy when I found out that there was actually an "edisi Inggeris". Ooshh! 4.5 years of BM-free days has really got my BM rotten to the roots already. I was once a Malay debator somemore eh!! What a shame!! MUST make BM my first language from today onwards. Dun wanna fail my Pharmacy Interview with the government wei...

Sebenarnya, masa sudah amat lewat. Saya sepatutnya pergi tidur sekarang. Oleh itu, saya harus pergi tandas kencing dan gosok gigi sekarang. Jumpa lagi apabila saya mempunyai masa lapang. Sekian, terima kasih. Selamat tinggal~ XD XD XD XD XD

wORkINg...

Hmm hmm... I worked for the first time in my life yesterday night!!! Took up this part-time waitress job last Friday.. Basically, I had to do everything... From taking order, serving foods and making drinks to cleaning up the table, washing dishes, mopping the floor and wiping off grease and dirt from anywhere that seems dirty.. Phew... Wasn't easy, man! For that 5 pounds per hour... T_T Hmph! I won't give up so easily... Must survive for at least one week! To prove that I am not just a piece char siew who can't endure hardship!! And so that mama can praise me "very san seng" in front of others... Ooh! Proud~~ XD

I didn't even dare to skive a little bit.. The competition was intense... There was another Malaysian gal from Raman College working as a full-time waitress.. Wah liao! I wonder how long can I keep my rice bowl with her around... Haha... She's quite good looking, slim, very hardworking, able to speak English, and her Cantonese is SO SO SOOOOOOOO much better than mine!!! Also, from my own observation, this gal is very good at curry favouring my lady boos le!! Served her dinner somemore... Geng!! But she's nice la... Ooh.. Did I mention that because this is a Hongkee restaurant (own by a pair of Hongkee suami-isteri), all of them there communcate in Cantonese. So, I had to force myself to speak Cantonese even though my Cantonese sucks to the max!! Sigh.. Who asked me itchy buttock claimed that I could speak Cantonese during my intervew... Heard from another waitress from China that a lot of ppl wanted this job badly.. *Ooh.. I din know...* This gal is very kind... I started working at the peak hour... No training at all and I had to start work immediately... Luckily she was there to guide me through... Thank you so much!! =)

One thing good is that the staffs there are all very friendly.. I didn't kena even though I spilled some leftover soup onto customer's table in front of the boss... XP By the way, dinner is provided!! Huhu... Can order anything on the menu from the kitchen.. Hehe... But I was kinda paisay to place my order since it was my first day... So the chef prepared Seafood fried mee for me!! Got so many big big prawns wor!!!~~ With some scallop, fish cake slices and vege, too!! OOOSH~~ Hang-fook-nya!! XD But the business was too good for me to sit down and start enjoying la.. So basically, I swallowed everything down within 5 minutes.. Now I actually feel nauseous when I come to think of that plate of Seafood fried mee... It's not that it tasted awful.. Quite delicious in fact... Just that I ate too fast liao... Eew... XP Haha...

Later gotta go work again starting from 6p.m. till 11p.m. Phew... CHUA PEI LING, GO GO JIA YOU!!!~~~ YOU CAN DO IT for the sake of the money!!!~~~ MUA HAHAHA... =P

*sINfuL*

Yay!!~ One more day to go before FMT1 class test commences... How's my progression? Not even half of the book revised. Oopsy! Think I should say, flipped through instead... XP

This afternoon, in order to motivate myself (alasan) to study hard, I had cheesy pasta for lunch, chatted with housemates, then read Naruto comic online (thought Sasuke was dead!! ceh...), then finally opened up my FMT1 module notes with a big packet ("better for sharing!" as stated on the package) of Walker's Sensation Thai-sweet-chili-flavour chips in my hand, munch munch munch, till I finally realized that 3 quarters of the content was already gone, got a shock and quickly threw it back onto the shelf (just so as I dun feel guilty for finishing it within half an hour time), then tried to focus on Licensing, felt sien and back ache as a result of the stupiak kid-size chair in my room, so I shifted my butt and module notes onto the bed, and dozed off till dinner time... zzZZZzzZZ...

ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What have I done whole day???!! XP

Great!! And I just found out from the nutritional info that it was 30g of F.A.T.S that I had consumed together with the chips this afternoon, not to mention the pasta....

And this blog post just suddenly sound so much like a page from Bridget Jones' Diary when she was still single.. and I happen to be Bridget Chua... *clap clap clap.....* T_T

c@ll mE cHAr SieW!!~

Wakakakaka.. Thanks to Hansel and Ganas Voon *ahem ahem*, I finally bought Stephen King's latest novel, Lisey's Story about half an hour from Waterstone on the Buchanan Street!! It was selling at half the original price, i.e. 3.49 pounds only leh!! Tell me, how could I resist the temptation??? Even Hansel also struggled so long before he said "NO!" leh... That Ganas Voon la!! Happily told me this half price news yesterday afternoon. So just now after class I ma SHUN BIAN bought the book while I was on the way to get Unitel phone cards lo... Ganas Voon is the culprit behind my char siew behavior!!! PAY ME!!! XP

Anyway, like what chua ah ming promised to her newly ordered Harry Potter in her blog, I W.I.L.L wait till class tests are over then only start reading my newly bought Lisey's Story... Oh no... I can hear it calling for me already.... "Pei Ling... read me... READ ME!!!" Argh... ok ok... Will just flip through a few pages of it then will keep it aside till exams are over... At least I will try la... *God Bless* XP

Trying real hard to superimpose Lisey's Story's
coverpage onto FMT1 module notes. YeW!!~

aP@ tu???

Well.. I was in the kitchen just now, preparing to make a cup of Neslo and start to "hisap" my cookies... So I took the kettle with some leftover water out to see if anyone of my housemates would like to fill up their water bottle.. Then, when I was in the hallway, I realized that all the room doors were closed. Seems like all my housemates had turned in early today, I thought to myself. Then, this was when I saw the ceiling light in the toilet flickered... My first reaction was to look at the switch on the wall... and, it was on the "off" position!! When I looked back into the toilet, the light had already stopped flickering, as if nothing had happened... Erm... apa tu? Why the ceiling light started flickering for no reason la? My hair stood up all at once... and I went back into the kitchen to continue brewing Neslo, trying to act calm...

Then Ganas Voon came into the kitchen and saw me... Upon hearing the incident, she told me that was not the first time happening already.. In fact, she had seen it flickering few times before and was frightened, too.. Ah Xin saw it once as well... But now Ganas Voon has already got used to the "flickering-light-in-the-toilet" phenomena liao.. Hmm... apa tu la??? I still have to stay here for another year de leh... (>_<")
