MENINGITIS VACCINATION

Think many of us are most probably bothered by this questions now..

"Should I get a jab of Meningitis vaccine before going over to the UK?"

Well, my mum has called up my aunt regarding this, since my aunt happens to be a doctor herself, and she has two children who are currently studying in the UK. As per the information given by her, vaccination against meningitis is not really needed. Although meningitis is more common in the UK in comparison to Malaysia, but it is still considered a rare disease there. It will only form an issue if it is an African country that we are travelling to. The two of her sons didn't receive, and haven't had any vaccination even until today. Moreover, the vaccine is not cheap at all. According to her, it costs around RM300-400. Well, I am not very sure about the price though. Yeaw told me it costs RM80 in Kajang, whereas Ah Xin told me it's around RM120-140 in KL.

So, personally I dun think I will go for the vaccination. These are just some information for your reference only. You can still go ahead if you wish to. BUT, do make sure you get the jab as early as possible as it may cause mild fever as a side effect. Just imagine what sort of troubles you would run into at the kastam if they were to find out that you are running a fever. I wonder if they will even permit your entrance into their country. You might be taken as the carrier of some whatsoever infectious diseases. Do plan your vaccination schedule properly if you are keen, alright? Cheers!! =)

wHat ELsE tO bRiNG? @_@

Been receiving smses from frens complaining about the overweight of their luggages lately.Gosh.. How come I seem to be the only one with luggage weighing only 10+ KG at the moment? Hmm.. So far, I have already put in my house wears, towels, jeans, a few pieces of my uni + outdoor attire, my jackets, long john and scarfs, my kebaya, shampoo, moisturizer, lotion, and lip balm. Plan to add in my pocket Dorland's dicky 仔, my shoes and slippers, 2 bedsheets, together with some pads later on XD And that's it!! Hmm.. I wonder if that will add up to my 30KG quota. Did I miss out anything important?!!

HELP!! Anybody has any suggestion regarding what else to bring?? (>.<")

1. Well, u may find it unbelievable, but I do talk and play with ants. BUT, only with the black-in-colour, small and flimsy type. I have never killed any of them intentionally, and maybe this is also the reason why none of them has ever bitten me before. Hehe... =) I love trapping them with my fingers, one at each time, and watch their reactions. I don't sound like a pervert hor, do I? Think they are very cute leh, haha... Don't u think so? =P
2. I talk to my soft toys and do have some "interactions" with them. They are my darling!! XD Honestly, I think this is pretty normal for most gals leh, but Wern finds such habit weird and funny. So... Hmm...
3. I only know how to drive a Manual car, even if it's without power steering. What?!! Drive u to XXX with an Auto car? Erm.. I think it would be safer for u to walk there instead. Yeah yeah... I dunno how to operate an Auto car and I have no experience driving one before. I know it's the easier type, but... Stop laughing, hamster chun!! Bluek!! XP
4. The only parking I could perform nicely is reverse side-parking, the one most ppl find it to be the hardest. Easier types of parking? Well, should have no problem ba.. but I can't guarantee u a scratch-free car when am finally done... (><")
5. I had an imaginary fren when I was young. A boy, if am not mistaken. I would talk to him secretly in my heart when I needed comfort, advice, or someone to share my joy. Sound scary hor? Haha.. But dunno why this habit ceased when I grew older. So, dun worry. Am totally normal now. Not schizophrenic. Haha...
6. I get "electrocuted" easily. If I walk too close to my frens in the shopping complex and our skin rubs each other's accidentally, I would get "electrocuted" and feel a sharp pain running through the part of contact. Am sure a lot of u have such experience, too. Nothing so special about it, right? BUT, I could even get "electrocuted" on a hot day by my house gate and car's door! Goodness.. I tell u man, the pricking pain can only be described by a big "OUCH!!!" T_T

Okie, am done!! Am not so weird after all, right? (Fingers crossed) =P Keke... Time to look for my victims now lu... Ngek ngek ngek... *evil*

Adui adui... Stop scolding me la, ppl... I know my blog is damn outdated liao.. Sorry lor... Not that I dun wanna update it la. Was away from civilization for weeks already!! Sob sob... Busy preparing for End-of-Semester 5 exams ever since mid of March.. (actually spent the first week lepak-ing around, that's why 2nd week gotta study like hell) Super stressful la.. Two Drugs & Diseases together.. My goodness.. Studied till alopecia, man! Then sat for one whole week of the super taxing and scary exams and finally it was over!!! But it was not over for me, yet... I have to go for one whole week of hospital attachment in Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital in Seremban almost immediately.. Super tiring but enjoyable nonetheless.. Hehe.. Thanks to our previous M2O4, currently known as C1O7 frens there, we had a great time in Seremban.. =) Thanks a bunch, frens!!

After coming back from the attachment, in order to replenish my exhausted soul, of course I have to go shopping and sleep till shiok shiok to reward myself ma.. Then gotta tidy up my room and start packing to shift everything back to my hometown.. (2 and a half years in IMU, time flies, man!) When I was finally done with everything, I did try to online using IMU line.. Who knows the stupiak setting of IMU computer actually forbids students on holidays to log in.. So I didnt get to online lor... No internet access at home ma.. Then shifted everything back and now, am in Singapore!! Came to visit my sis.. Hehe... Finally get to online liao.. Phew... =)

Melvin: Hey, Joan. Now I know fried egg is called jian dan (煎蛋) alerady...
Me: Haha.. I thought you said it's supposed to be zha dan (炸蛋@炸弹)?
Joan: Har?!! What?!! Zha dan (炸弹）??!!! Hahaha...
Melvin: Har nah.. Har nah... I know it's not zha dan la.. But I still think it can be called that way leh...
Joan: No lo.. zha dan is zha dan. You know what is a zha dan or not actually? It means BOMB la!!
Melvin: I know!! Then, what do you call a deep fried egg la?
Joan: Erm... Zha ji dan (炸鸡蛋) lor!!

《懈寄生》读后感

是的，我也知道懈寄生的“懈”不是这个，可是《中文之星》没有那个字啦。。

也是只用了差不多一个晚上的时间，就把蔡智恒的这本书啃完了。可是这一次却不是为了又另一个有点无聊的 challenge 游戏啦。。因为很明显暴力渊没有姓吴的叔叔那样慷慨咯。。。竟然叫我慢慢等！！哼，真是活得不耐烦了！！哈哈。。无论如何，我真的是被这本书的内容吸引到欲罢不能，才在这么短的时间内把它干掉的。虽然脑海中不断的重复着 “去读书啦。。去读书啦。。。”，不过我的手却始终没有离开过暴力渊这个损友借给我的《懈寄生》。。很好看馁！！

结局，就如蔡智恒一贯的作品一样，是带着些许遗憾的。。至少对我来说，那并不是一个我期待着的结局，即使它是圆满的。。或许就如暴力渊所说的，小说的结局似乎往往都要带点遗憾才能让人留下深刻的印象吧。。

超喜欢明菁！！她真的是天真烂漫到不行啦！！~ 超口爱的哪！！ 可是我却能深深地感觉到她内心的悲伤与孤单。。整颗心都碎了。。。（是指她的心吗？还是我的？我也不知道。。。）

菜虫真的是个超幸运的家伙！！不过他的优柔寡断还有拖泥带水的性格让我超想扁他！！

荃？没有什么特别的感觉，只是觉得她太脆弱了。。。


原来懈寄生还有这样的典故，好窝心噢！！ =）

It was 830p.m. Yi Jie and I were on the way home from taekwondo training when I felt my phone vibrating in the bag. So I took my phone out to check on the sms and gasped...

"Ah Bi, there is a flasher in red shirt, red cap and super mini shorts!!! Be careful, k?"

The sms was from my Ah Bi. I thought she was just kidding, and so took my time to reply (which makes me feel kinda bad now). But yes, true enough, my Ah Bi WAS flashed... However, the first thing she did immediately after that was to sms me, and warned me to be careful of that stupid fella. The incident happened at the overhead-bridge and he was heading towards the direction of our university. Ah Bi was afraid that he would bump into us and repeat the same disgraceful act...

Well, maybe to many of u all, that was merely a sms. But it seriously touched my heart... Just imagine.. Ah Bi is a girl.. She must have been traumatised by that incident, or at least frightened maybe. But the first thing that came to her mind, was me... was to sms and warn me about the flahser... was to prevent me from experiencing the same frightening moment... and was to protect me from that disgusting fella...

Thank you so much, my Ah Bi Bi... You are the BESTEST Labby I could ever get in this world... You are so great and loveable!! Feel like hugging u so much right now... I promise that I will TRY to jaga your image more from this moment onwards. Haha... XD Love you deep deep!!! Muacks Muacks!! (sound so much like a lesbo -.-")

《孔雀森林》 读后感

用了不到一天的时间，就把 《孔雀森林》 这本书给读完了。就为了阿亮叔叔的 challenge。。

“诶，我 challenge 你在今晚把 《孔雀森林》 读完！你读完的话我就请你吃冰淇淋！”

说真的，还挺喜欢这本书的。。保持了蔡智恒一贯的水准。至少我本人认为它比藤井树近期的作品好看多了啦。。藤井树，你的 《有个女孩叫Feeling》 的水准去了哪儿啦？

对主角智渊的印象不错，但是却不喜欢他的懦弱与犹豫不决。。。

喜欢荣安的真。。虽然他常闯祸，又有点怪怪的，但是他真的粉口爱！！

喜欢刘玮亭，即使她的出场次数不多。。总觉得她和自己挺像的。。虽然我选的不是老虎。。。

My ah bi brilliantly drew a matchstick man (and she claims that she used to score A for Pendidikan Seni) representing Lemongrassy in Ganas Voon's Christmas card (that she bought for herself, sad-nya~~) during PP2 lecture on NHS Act. Below are the 3 "greetings" she wrote for Ganas Voon...

Yeah, that's my ah bi's Mandarin standard.. She was actually trying to mean 裤子高高, i.e. pants worn till super high up... (-_-")

Compiling Group A and B results for DD3 report now... Dots.. most of the results actually show that AG1478, a cancer chemotherapy drug which is supposed to destroy cancerous cell, actually promote growth.. (-_-") what is this la???

Bravo!! Did a statistical paired T-test to compare the normal result, i.e. allies with the theoretical value one, with a result that show 300% cell proliferation. Know what? The T-test proves that the difference is insignificant!!! (><") Fan shu!!!!! (番薯,i.e. potato)

Yawn~~~ it's 2:36a.m. in the morning and I am looking at my MSN friend's list, hoping that one of the red little icons may just suddenly turn green, and nudge me for I didnt respond to his or her appearance quick enough. Too bad, the long list of red icons remains and I have to settle with writing blog.

I did log in around the same time yesterday, but I was so tired that I knocked off on the computer table while reading my Labby's bulletin post, "How to win an argeument effectively". No drooling of saliva, but guess it would not have been so if that post was "How to win Brad Pitt's heart effectively" instead. Haha... XD Ah Bi Bi, I'm not saying that ur post was a boring one ya. Was simply too tired. In fact, I just read through it all over again and am thinking of how to apply it when stupiak Mou Mou tries to insult us again next time. Ngek Ngek... =P

Har.. still facing a list of red icons. Must be a retribution for not replying Wern's and Liang's msg last nite. Aiyo, not my fault leh... Was busy entertaining Mr. Zhou Gong in my dreams ma. I only woke up to see their blinking msges, and all I did was pressing Alt+F4 to all the windows. Couldn't even bother to apologize nor check on the time. Hehe... I just off the light, climbed onto the bed, intended to cover myself with quilt in the air-cond room, only to find myself and the quilt lying in the same position when Mum woke me up this morning. Geng leh? Hehe... paisay la... not purposely didnt wanna reply msg de lo... =P

Yawn~~~ still, nobody has online yet le... and writing this whole blog of crap has made me super sleepy suddenly... Keke... Mr. Zhou Gong, here I come!!! Nitez, everybody!!! XD

与 F.I.R. 的亲密接触

为了 F.I.R. 《飞行部落》 的这场签唱会，我老早就在10月8号那天，在众朋友的陪同下前往金河广场大厅，以我较早前购买的《飞行部落》正版CD （真的是正版的哦～ 以我来说，还真少见哪！ XD）换取免费的入门票，顺便逛街！原本一张专辑只能换取4张入门票的，可是朋友们都纷纷兴致勃勃地向我表示了他们想去的热忱。好的东西本来就是要大家分享的吗，而既然现场换票的人可谓少之又少，换票亭的负责人又没记录，我，康雯和克丽斯丁便在不同的时间以同样的CD上前去换票。就这样我们骗回了总数12张的票。哈哈。。。不错neh？我们这三个骗子也都在当天分别有新衣进帐哦！＝P “你这个骗子骗子骗子骗子骗子～～”

但是人算还真是不如天算哪！从那一天开始，我阔气的朋友们竟然一个接一个地送我飞机，简直多到可以开个飞机场了！结果到了10月13号当天，只剩下可怜的我，康雯，怡洁和子康。。。唉，或许还真是报应不爽呀！于是，我们这4个可怜人便一起乘坐子康的车，从IMU出发到Bukit Jalil Amphitheatre。其实他们三个是陪我这个太子爷去读书的。真够义气！

哇赛！那个人潮还真不是盖的耶！人是多到。。。我们其实已经提早到场了，可是还是排了老久老久才轮到我们进场呢！欧麦高！那天换票的人不是只有小猫两三只而已的吗？依稀记得两年前F.I.R.在金河广场舞台为第一张同名专辑举办签名会时，我也在场。那时即不需要换票，人潮也没那么的恐怖啊～我还是在现场现买现签的呢！当时只用了差不多5分钟的时间就轮到我了。今时今日的F.I.R.已今非昔比了。老实说，看见他们的成长，我其实感到挺开心与欣慰的。。。＝）

结果，轮到我们进场时，前面老早进了场的观众已挡完我们的视线了。只有平日有打篮球的子康是看得清舞台上的状况的。我们这三个女生只得踮高了脚趾拼命地往舞台上瞄。真是伤心的jiek。。。不仅如此，稍后还来了个不识趣的大只佬，硬是挤到我们三个正在狂踮脚趾的女生前面，把我们余下的那么一丁点儿视线也都遮蔽了！差点没把我气死！我已经给了几次非常明显的“暗示”了，可是他始终还是无动于衷！不只是真没听见，还是装聋作哑。幸好，人潮稍微移动了一些，我们还可以勉强地从人头之间的缝隙看见舞台。

虽然是同属华纳，但主办当局也不需要持续地播放东方神奇的MTV吧？我们是来看F.I.R的喂。。。耶！终于F.I.R.的MTV出现了，全场不断地尖叫，并大声合唱。可是，哎，怎么来来去去就只有那首《飞行部落》呢？咦？终于换歌了！竟然又是东方神奇的MTV！（差点没晕倒。。。）有必要那么强势地宣传吗？喂，请问东方神奇的专辑在本地的销售量是不是真的那么烂？(-_-") 观众们都接二连三地sien掉，当《飞行部落》的前奏再次响起时，不管主持人卓慧勤再怎么地鼓吹，观众们也都懒得合唱了。。。

好不容易捱到了8：30PM，在特别嘉宾，本地的绝对Superstar黄俊源演唱完毕以后，F.I.R.终于隆重登场了！带来了好几首耳熟能详的歌曲，让我们都乐坏了！而阿飞和阿沁也非常听话地在演唱《天天夜夜》时，在一片“牵手！牵手！“的声浪下，签手了！哇哈哈。。。唱完了安哥曲《Lydia》过后，签名会也正式开始了！由于挤功超烂，我竟然排到了人龙的尾端！救命啊～康雯，怡洁和子康选择上车等我，边吹冷气边闲聊。而我呢，简直热爆了！还被挤到像沙丁鱼！不过，一看见有空隙，我就挤进去。想不到，不一会儿，我已经上了舞台了！哇哈哈。。。

一向来都对会弹钢琴的男生情有独钟，所以认为建宁老师真是帅呆了！自从上次的签名会之后，我就觉得他不但亲切，头发也飘逸到一个程度！哈哈。。。不过，当晚他似乎有点耍酷噢。握手时虽然和上次一样有力道，但是却面无表情，只微微点了点头。或许他累了吧，但是却让我对他的印象打了一点折扣哦。还好，小小只的阿飞还是一样的亲切友善！握手时不但有力道，还以非常诚恳的眼神望着我，并给予我一个灿烂迷人的笑容！开心死我了！哈哈。。。说真的，她本人真的比上节目和拍平面照时，漂亮得多了！美人儿一个！嘻嘻。。。而当晚，秀了一手好琴与好歌艺的阿沁，也让我觉得，他比以前帅多了！哈哈。。。或许是因为他比以前健硕了吧，看起来没那么地苍白憔悴。握手时，还是一样有力道，并对我说了声“谢谢！”。 ＝）

还记得上次，我待到签名会结束后才离去，并目睹了F.I.R.在歌迷的包围下带着微笑离去时，粗鲁的保安人员是如何在驱散歌迷时，一个不小心大力地以他整个粗大的胳膊直接撞在瘦小的阿飞的头上！阿飞当场痛得面部表情扭曲，眼泪都快要流出来了！当时，包括我在内的歌迷们都心疼地惊呼出声，可是保安人员并没有因此而停下脚步来关心阿飞的伤势，只是不断地开路。不一会儿，F.I.R.就被护送出场了。。。这令我非常地不爽哦！但是这一次，由于人数众多，我实在没有办法等到签名会结束之后才离去。再说我也不想浪费在车上等我的朋友们的宝贵时间。所以，拿到签名之后，我便满心欢喜地往停车场的方向走去了。我好想从此以后都不再洗手了！！嘻嘻。。。

总之，F.I.R.你们好棒！！～～～
